It’s Saturday night when my son walks through the front door and plops down on the couch beside me.

“Whew, I’m exhausted. They called me into work Friday night and then I worked nine hours today. And back again tomorrow at 11:00.”

“What? I thought you were hanging out with friends last night,” I replied. (So much for staying on top of my teenage son’s whereabouts!)

“I was going to but Renée called me on my way out and said she needed me to fill in.”

So it goes with both of my kids this summer. They are each working two jobs at the moment (three for my daughter if you also count her vacation babysitting business that she started five years ago).

Don’t feel too sorry for them, however. They still make plenty of time for their friends, if not their parents!

Red Snapper SeasonIt ALMOST makes me feel like a slacker, like I may need to up my game. It should make my husband feel like one. Ha Ha. Andrew’s fishing buddies will understand. It is red snapper season after all!

With their busy work schedules and social lives, I have a hard time keeping track of my small brood. Thank goodness for the Life 360 phone app!

Although they stay busy, my kids still make time for their friends and activities they enjoy (did I mention that it’s red snapper season?). It’s all about prioritizing their time. Although they are busy earning their paychecks, they are not too busy for the activities they enjoy.

So too, you are busy but you are not too busy to plan your estate.

Admit it. If you haven’t yet crafted your Family Succession Plan, it’s simply not a priority for you. Because we all find the time to do what’s important to us.

Which is too bad because it is your loved ones who will face the consequences of the planning you chose to do, or not do, for their benefit when you had the opportunity to do so.

The easiest way to get started on your Family Succession Plan is simply to schedule the daggone appointment which we call a Family Succession Strategy Session. You can do by clicking this link to be taken to our online booking calendar. Heck, you can now even TEXT our office! Text My Pink Lawyer®: 850-855-4797.

I’m glad my kids are working so hard this summer. After all, they need to prepare for caring for their dear ole’ parents in their old age. Ha ha!
