Cereal box, check.
Aluminum foil, check.
Scissors and tape, check.
White paper, check.
I laid out everything I would need to start my weekend arts and craft project in preparation for the solar eclipse.
I didn’t get my act together in time to order approved solar eclipse glasses from Amazon so a cereal box pinhole camera it was going to be.
Armed with Youtube videos, I got to work.
I must say I was pretty proud of myself with the end result.
I’m more of an Amazon Prime mom than a Pinterest mom.
I loathe arts and crafts projects.
Seriously, I used to pay the high school neighbor girl to come over to help my kids with their elementary craft projects for school. (I know, sad isn’t it?)
I seize upon any opportunity to delegate, especially if the person I’m delegating to can do it better than I can do it myself.
Yes, it oftens involves an exchange of money but it’s fast, painless, and done right.
My pinhole camera was not the ideal viewing instrument but it sure as hell was better than nothing.
I’m actually kind of proud of it. Maybe I’ll even post a photo on Pinterest.
