Well, I am feeling all of that today in both my personal and work life.
Following a major personal purge of “stuff” in my life—specifically, physical clutter and my time commitments—I have had more time to focus on what I want both my personal and business life to actually look like.
I’ve always believed that for the most part, we all have the ability to design the life we actually want to live.
Want to travel more? Then do it. Sure, you may need to save some money and rearrange some time commitments to do so but don’t use those things as an excuse to hold you back if it’s something you really want to do.
Want to spend more time with your family rather than at the office? Great. What needs to change to make that happen?
None of us are victims of our circumstances.
Sure, sh*% happens to all of us but it’s how we RESPOND to that stuff that determines our future.
Personally, I’ve set six personal priorities for my life this year and I’ve committed myself to saying NO to any activity or expense that does not align with those priorities.
Professionally, I have also set new business priorities for My Pink Lawyer® with a renewed focus on creating and delivering efficient and practical estate planning strategies and solutions to Florida families that not only make their lives easier, but also saves their loved ones oodles of time and money.
Recognizing that many families, especially younger families, do not believe they have the resources or the need to actually implement a written estate plan at this time of their lives, My Pink Lawyer® will soon be launching group estate planning workshops in which all attendees will leave with a basic (and legal!) estate plan in place for themselves, including a simple Will, guardian nominations for minor children, financial and medical powers of attorney.
These group estate planning workshops will be more cost effective than private client work and are designed for younger families to dip their toe in the proverbial estate planning waters.
We’ve tentatively planned the first workshop for Friday, May 3rd at Noon at our office. Shoot us an email (or reply to this one) if you are interested and we will provide you with more information as we firm up our plans for the workshop.
Of course our attorneys will also still be offering private estate planning strategy sessions to our clients.

- The One Thing by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan (focus on one thing for amazing results)
Some folks are always happy with the status quo but, fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it), I am not one of those people. Sure I am happy, but never completely satisfied. I have always looked for ways to grow in both my personal and professional life. Status quo is just not built into my DNA.
Which is good for you, my dear friend. So be looking for lots of new exciting changes coming from the pink bubble here at My Pink Lawyer® HQ.
