Lauren Merritt

Lauren Merritt is a Pensacola native. Except for her time away for law school, she has lived in the Pensacola area her whole life. Lauren is a graduate of the University of West Florida and the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Florida and Alabama state and federal courts and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal. 

Lauren is compassionate when working with clients who have recently lost a loved one or are seeking help with caring for a loved one. She knows it is important to feel supported and listened to during such vulnerable times. Lauren strives to provide representation that goes beyond the paperwork and court filings and honors the emotional journey her clients are navigating. Lauren tries to connect with her clients on a personal level so they can trust her to provide that additional support.

Lauren is married to her husband, Matthew. They have a young son and daughter together, and Lauren enjoys being a bonus mom to Matthew’s three beautiful daughters. Lauren likes running, spending time with family, dining at her family’s favorite Pensacola restaurants, and relaxing at home with a good true crime television show.

Lauren is a member of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association and the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She also serves on the Board of Valerie’s House Pensacola, where she fulfills her passion for children by supporting the non-profit organization that helps children grieve after the loss of a loved one and teaches them that loss doesn’t have to limit their dreams.
