An Attorney’s Perspective on Florida Estate Planning Trends | My Pink Lawyer

Are Men Inherently "Cheaper" Than Women?

Written by Kristen Marks | 08/28/2017

“How much did that set us back?,” my husband asked.

I had just returned from the Mercedes dealership to get my car serviced.

My husband and I have an ongoing debate in our home about whether our vehicles should be serviced at the dealership or another “jiffy lube” type of place.

My husband, when we gets his truck serviced at all, likes to go cheap.

Don’t get me wrong. We actually use a couple of servicing centers that we really like and trust. That’s where I send my kids for their vehicles.

But for me, at this stage of my life, in addition to competent service which I expect, I prefer a great experience and convenience in the service providers I use. And I’m willing to pay a bit of a premium for it.

Nothing beats having a loaner vehicle waiting for you when you arrive. I frankly don’t have the time or the patience to be waiting around for hours for my car to be serviced.

I hear similar feedback from clients about our office.

Competent legal service and results are a given.

However, it’s the welcoming experience, friendly, relaxed atmosphere, hands-on service, and convenience that clients rave about.

We even have clients wanting to have their photo taken on the pink couch in our lobby!

Sure, we aren’t the cheapest kids on the block and we make no apologies about that.

But we do offer amazing VALUE to the clients we service.

And (if I do say so myself and I will), we sure as hell offer the BEST EXPERIENCE in planning your estate in town.

Do you think it’s a woman thing where we place more value on an experience than men? That there is more to good service than just the pricetag?

Are men just “cheaper” than women?

I’m not sure but our clients sure aren’t complaining.
