Lauren Merritt is a Pensacola native. Except for her time away for law school, she has lived in the Pensacola area her whole life. Lauren is a graduate of the University of West Florida and the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Florida and Alabama state and federal courts and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal.
Lauren is compassionate when working with clients who have recently lost a loved one or are seeking help with caring for a loved one. She knows it is important to feel supported and listened to during such vulnerable times. Lauren strives to provide representation that goes beyond the paperwork and court filings and honors the emotional journey her clients are navigating. Lauren tries to connect with her clients on a personal level so they can trust her to provide that additional support.
Lauren is newly married to her husband, Matthew, and has three beautiful bonus daughters and two furbabies- a chihuahua and a rescue yellow lab. Lauren enjoys running, going to the gym, crafting with the girls, cheering at the girls’ soccer games, dining at her family’s favorite Pensacola restaurants, and relaxing at home with her dogs.
Lauren is a member of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association, the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and the Pensacola American Inn of Court. She also serves on the Board of Directors at Pathways for Change, where she fulfills her passion for supporting individuals fighting to overcome addiction.
